Multimedia textbooks

In the old days we all learnt at lectures where we fell asleep or took copies notes that would lead us to fall asleep if we ever bothered to re-read them.

Today we’ve got Youtube that can teach us how to open our phone and replace the battery or how to use a grapefruit to excite the man in your life, which is useful, but also very distracting and of dubious educational benefit.

Combining text and video along with really gets the message across. Many people learn better visually, but, better than video, a multimedia textbook can engage the reader, making their learning active instead of merely passively watching a video or reading a book.
